Luke Harris decided to create the first bike tour company focusing on the great trails in the St. Louis Area – Madison County Transit (MCT) Trails and KATY trails. These Rails-to-Trails tours highlight great biking on car-free paths throughout the area. Our tours provide all lodging, food* and transportation along with historic and unique local attractions.
The family-run company offers guided tours on pathways into the wilderness of the Midwest. See two of the great rivers in the USA – Missouri and Mississippi – along with forests, planted farm fields and the history that made the New Frontier home to the Midwest. Be pampered by our hotels, B&B’s, restaurants and Midwest hospitality, so you can leave your worries behind.
We provide safe and fun biking in a car-free environment. The MCT trails are 95% paved to provide the smoothest ride over nearly 200 miles. Our journey takes us around the launching point of Lewis and Clark along the river bluffs through the breadbasket of America. The KATY trail provides 200 miles of packed crushed limestone that meanders through the quaint river towns in Missouri.

Biking on these great trails was Luke’s release from working in corporate America and then owning a business. On his wife’s encouragement, Luke started Crossroads to pass along all of the fun, relaxation and beauty that awaits you on these trails. His desire to showcase these beautiful trails to others while making his guests as pampered as possible on 2 (or 3) wheels is his goal. Luke can talk with the best of them but don’t ask him to tell you a joke, he will forget the punchline!?!
“Back in the Saddle” Aerosmith
Mark introduced the KATY trail to Luke many years ago. Mark became an avid biker after his retirement from being an educator. Mark handles many of the SAG activities and will catch a ride or two along the trail with the group. If we beg long enough, Mark might even get out his guitar and play a tune from Jimmy Buffet or one of his other favorites.
“Ride Sally Ride” Al Green
Amber is the boss behind the scenes. Even though Amber might not ride as much as the rest, she is very capable of driving the SAG wagon. She has practiced for many years driving 5 kids around in the full size family van while trying to control our crew. She also is the best tour planner a family can have. If you want fun, excitement and plenty of activity, Amber can make your day. You might have to remind her if you want to relax as that is sometimes not on the agenda!
